I have heard of various different types of Reiki.
What is the difference between them?

In essence, they all use the same energy for treatments. Hand positions and techniques tend to change and there are either more or less methods that can be used. Try not to be swayed by individuals that claim their method is far more superior to any other because it is up to the individual to decide which method suits them the best.  Research each of the types and then try to follow your instinct on which you would like to specialise on.

Is Reiki spiritual?

Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. Practitioners are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs they may have. They are free to continue believing anything they choose and are encouraged to make their own decisions concerning the nature of their religious practices. It is not dependent on faith, another common misconception. Although Reiki does embrace a spiritual dimension, it has absolutely no association with religion, and will not interfere or conflict with any belief system or religious practice.
